Do I need to know which treatment I want?

Franciele listens to your concern, asks about relevant health and treatment history, assesses the area when appropriate and explains possible next steps, including their limitations.

Does a consultation oblige me to proceed?

SKIN AND ROUTINES

How Suitability Is Decided

How does Franciele decide what may be suitable?

She considers the concern, area, current condition, health context, medication, previous procedures, preferences, timing and the recovery involved.

Can Franciele advise me not to have a procedure?

Yes. She may recommend waiting, preparing the area, choosing another approach or not treating when a procedure appears unsuitable.

Will I be encouraged to combine treatments?

Only when there is a clear reason and the sequence, cumulative irritation and recovery are appropriate. More treatment is not assumed to be better.

Can the treatment plan change later?

Yes. New health information, changes in the skin, timing or your response may alter the recommended procedure, settings, interval or number of sessions.

ACNE, PIGMENTATION AND SENSITIVITY

Health and Treatment History

What information should I provide?

Mention relevant health conditions, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medication and supplements, recent sun exposure, previous procedures and current products when asked.

Can medication affect treatment?

Yes. Some medication can affect healing, bleeding, sensitivity, pigmentation or suitability. Do not stop prescribed medication unless the responsible prescriber advises you to.

When might another professional need to assess the concern?

Symptoms suggesting a medical condition, uncertain diagnosis or a concern outside aesthetic scope may need evaluation by a doctor or another appropriately qualified professional.

What happens if my skin is not ready?

Franciele may simplify your routine, recommend preparation, allow the barrier to recover or postpone the appointment.

LASER FUNDAMENTALS

Skin Concerns and Routines

Why can similar skin concerns need different plans?

Redness, dark marks, breakouts and texture can have different causes and depths. Their appearance alone may not show which approach is appropriate.

How many skincare products do I need?

There is no ideal number. A useful routine has a clear purpose, supports the skin barrier and avoids ingredients the skin cannot currently tolerate.

Are acne marks and acne scars the same?

No. Flat colour changes differ from structural changes in the skin. Some people have both, and each may need a different approach.

Should skincare sting to be effective?

No. Persistent burning or worsening irritation can signal that the routine is too aggressive or that the skin needs assessment.

LASER HAIR REDUCTION

Laser Questions

Do all lasers do the same thing?

No. Different systems target different structures, such as hair pigment, colour, vessels or water in the skin. Their uses and recovery are not interchangeable.

Is laser suitable for every person and concern?

No. Skin characteristics, tanning, medication, treatment history, the target and the available technology all affect suitability.

Is the most powerful setting the best one?

No. The setting should aim for a useful response while respecting the surrounding tissue and individual risk.

Why are several laser sessions sometimes needed?

Hair cycles, pigment behaviour and gradual tissue responses can require a series. The recommended number and interval depend on the treatment and your response.

PEELS AND CO₂ RESURFACING

Preparing for Treatment

Will I need to prepare?

Possibly. Instructions may involve sun exposure, skincare, hair removal methods, products or timing. They depend on the specific procedure.

Should I stop medication beforehand?

Never stop prescribed medication on your own. Tell Franciele what you take so any concern can be discussed with the responsible prescriber.

Why should I mention recent sun exposure?

Tanning or sunburn can affect how some treatments interact with the skin and may increase risk, so an appointment may need to be adjusted or postponed.

Should I mention travel or an important event?

Yes. Recovery and sun exposure can affect timing. Sharing important dates helps Franciele advise whether the proposed schedule is sensible.

INJECTABLES AND FIRMNESS

Recovery and Aftercare

How long will recovery take?

It varies with the procedure, treatment intensity, area and individual response. Franciele will explain the expected course for the option being considered.

What can aftercare involve?

It may include gentle cleansing, moisturising, sun protection, temporary product changes and limits on heat, exercise, pressure or picking. Follow the instructions for your procedure.

When should I contact Franciele after treatment?

Get in touch when recovery differs from what was explained, especially if symptoms are increasing, persistent or worrying.

What if symptoms seem urgent?

Routine clinic messages are not an emergency service. Severe or rapidly worsening symptoms need prompt assessment through the appropriate medical or emergency service.

PREPARATION AND RECOVERY

Results and Review

Why do results vary?

The starting concern, skin condition, age, lifestyle, treatment choice, healing response, session timing and aftercare can all influence the outcome.

How many sessions will I need?

Some care is planned as one procedure; other concerns may need a series or maintenance. A precise number cannot always be known before seeing how you respond.

How does Franciele approach natural-looking results?

She considers proportion, expression and your preferences, and does not treat greater intensity or more procedures as automatically better.

How is progress reviewed?

Your response is compared with your own baseline, photographs where appropriate and the agreed aim. The plan can then continue, change or stop.
