WHAT LASER IS
Pigment in hair and skin. It may be targeted in hair-reduction and selected pigmentary treatments.
A component of blood targeted by selected technologies for superficial vessels or redness.
A principal target in ablative CO₂ resurfacing, allowing controlled microscopic treatment.
Selected wavelengths and pulse characteristics can fragment particular ink particles.
Target first. Technology second. Settings third. The machine name alone does not establish suitability.
The same target can respond differently according to skin characteristics, healing, treatment history and the settings selected.
WHAT LASER IS NOT
Laser cannot responsibly promise poreless skin, complete scar removal, permanent removal of every hair or the same result for every person.
WHEN LASER MAY BE USED
Progressive long-term reduction in the number, density or thickness of suitable hairs.
Selected pigmented lesions or uneven colour after the cause and pattern are considered.
Selected superficial vessels according to colour, depth, size and location.
Controlled thermal or ablative treatment that may support remodelling.
Fragmentation of selected pigments over a planned series.
A more intensive renewal pathway with meaningful preparation and recovery.
Your skin deserves the option that fits it, not simply the strongest one.
TECHNOLOGIES I USE
Harmony is a multi-technology platform. Its applications depend on the exact handpiece, wavelength and settings selected. According to the available configuration, it may be considered for selected pigmentary, vascular, texture, hair-reduction, scar or tattoo-related concerns.
LightSheer Duet is a diode-laser system used for progressive long-term hair reduction. Treatment is adapted according to skin tone, hair colour and thickness, treatment area, recent sun exposure and previous response.
AcuPulse is an ablative carbon-dioxide laser used for selected resurfacing treatments. Because it intentionally affects the skin barrier, it requires more preparation and recovery than a superficial facial procedure.
LASER HAIR REDUCTION
Hair grows in phases. Because only part of the hair is in a responsive stage at each appointment, treatment is usually planned as a series.
Darker hair generally offers a clearer pigment target. Very light, grey, white and some red hair may respond poorly.
Coarser and finer hair may respond differently.
Melanin is also present in the skin, so device and settings must respect surrounding tissue.
Tanning changes energy absorption and may affect treatment timing.
Facial and body hair do not always follow the same rhythm.
Some hair patterns may continue to develop and may require maintenance or investigation.
A gradual result can still be a meaningful and beautiful change.
CO₂ RESURFACING
Fractional does not mean superficial.
Fractional CO₂ laser treats microscopic areas while leaving surrounding skin untreated. This pattern supports healing, but the procedure still intentionally disrupts the barrier.
Recovery is part of the plan
Depth and density affect both the possible treatment response and the recovery burden. More intensity can mean more redness, swelling, peeling, sensitivity and risk.
WHEN TO WAIT
Additional pigment or inflammation can change risk.
Sensitive or injured skin may need time and supportive care.
Active bacterial, viral or fungal concerns should be assessed first.
A changing, bleeding or irregular mark should not simply be treated as pigmentation.
Some conditions, healing patterns or medicines may affect treatment choice.
An intensive procedure should not be forced into an unsuitable calendar.
Waiting can be a positive choice when it protects your skin.
BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER
Review concern, history, medication, products, previous procedures and sun exposure.
Clarify target, technology, sensation, expected reactions, limits and recovery.
Prepare the area and use appropriate eye protection.
Select the handpiece and settings for the plan while monitoring comfort and response.
Assess the area and provide procedure-specific aftercare.
Depending on the technology: redness, warmth, tenderness, swelling, darkening of treated pigment, dryness, crusting or peeling.
